Meet the Apple Bros Surf Co twins
Born and raised on the jungle side of Weligama, the twins have been surfing since they snuck off to the beach from their father's fruit stand business to hit the waves. They are avid competition surfers and members of the surfing federation of Sri Lanka. They know all the local points including the nearby hotspots in Hikkaduwa, Unawatuna, Ahangama, Hiriketiya and Arugam Bay.
Whether surfing is something you have never tried, or is something you want to improve, they are here for you!

Beginner Lesson
30 mins on the beach instruction, warm up and surf practice. Aprroximately 1 hour in the water instruction and wave riding time with feedback and paddle help.

20-30 mins on the beach instruction, warm up and technique review. Aprroximately 1.5 hours in the water instruction and wave riding time with feedback.

Advanced Lesson
Depending on the weather and swell conditions, we will carefully choose and transport you to the best surf spot to match your surfing style. Roughly 2 hrs of action packed fun.

Should I bring my surfboard to Sri Lanka?
For beginner or intermediate, probably not. Plenty of boards to rent in Weligama with many different sizes. Advanced - maybe. Performance boards are less common/a little more difficult to match your perfect set up. There are a few surfs shops to buy from, but with limited stock. Many folks bring their boards and sell them here before leaving.

When is high-season/low-season in Weligama?
For southern Sri Lanka, surfing is in its prime during the dry-season months November-March. We surf year round though.

Please be ready / bring cash LKRs (Sri Lankan Rupee).

Where does the lesson start? Can you get me at my hotel?
There are a few meeting points along the main Weligama beach. Depending on your level, the weather and your hotel location, we will get that sorted out.
